Your Open Campus Block program lasts 6, 12, or 18 weeks and is designed to be completely customizable. You will enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU, with a wide range of subjects to choose from. Enhance your experience with cross-disciplinary cultural and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Greek culture. Live and learn in Athens!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Athens will open doors for you to explore Greece’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.     

Samples of excursions and activities: 

  • Uncover the mystique of Delphi as you explore iconic landmarks where ancient prophecies once shaped Greek civilization 
  • Wander through Nafplio, Greece’s enchanting former capital, where neoclassical mansions, seaside promenades, and the hilltop Palamidi Fortress create a postcard-perfect setting 
  • Stroll through the charming Plaka district, Athens’ oldest and most picturesque neighborhood, where winding cobblestone streets lead to souvenir shops brimming with local crafts and treasures
