Program Overview

Your Summer in Santiago program lasts 4 weeks (or up to 12 weeks) and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Chilean culture. Live and learn in Santiago!

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Santiago will open doors for you to explore Chile’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.    

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Visit a natural reservation, like Cajón del Maipo, located merely 45 minutes from Santiago de Chile
  • See firsthand where Pablo Neruda, a Nobel Prize winner, lived and worked in Santiago de Chile and Valparaíso
  • Discover the Open Sky Museum of San Miguel, with more than 5,000 square meters of outdoor graffiti and murals
