Program Overview

Your Open Campus Block in Dublin places you in a lively capital known for its literary heritage, welcoming atmosphere, and deep-rooted cultural traditions, while allowing you to build an experience tailored to your academic interests and goals. You’ll enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular experiences like visiting historic landmarks such as Dublin Castle and Trinity College, exploring the city’s music and pub scene, and venturing beyond the city to coastal cliffs and scenic countryside. Dublin leaves a lasting impression through its storytelling traditions, vibrant social culture, and strong connection to both history and landscape.

CIEE Dublin offers housing in apartments located in student residence communities. All housing options are located in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transport, and are within 30 minutes of walking access to central Dublin.

Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Dublin will open doors for you to explore Ireland's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.     

Samples of excursions and activities: 

  • Explore Ireland’s pre-Christian past at the ancient tombs in the World Heritage-listed Boyne Valley 
  • Tour the cathedrals, castles, and breweries of Kilkenny, the most complete medieval city in Ireland 
  • Listen to traditional music and storytellers in local pubs

Academics

CIEE Dublin: Study in the heart of Dublin’s lively south central district, five minutes from the River Liffey and Merrion Square. CIEE Dublin features three classrooms and a student lounge and is conveniently near a mix of independent cafés, bakeries, and stores.

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

Internships

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
