Program Description:
EA Logo Primary Capstone International Center Endowed Scholarship 
(funded by JVC, MBUSI, Tuscaloosa Sister City)

Tuscaloosa Sister Cities International exists to promote long term, global people-to-people relationships through the development of international leadership, friendship and understanding. It seeks to facilitate productive partnerships with cultural, educational, and commercial entities. Tuscaloosa Sister Cities International provides an avenue for the people in each city to develop friendly and mutually beneficial personal and professional relationships, and to work together in facing the unique and diverse challenges and opportunities of the future. This endowment was established to help students to forward the mission of Tuscaloosa Sister Cities International. 

Eligibility Requirements:
This scholarship is open to:
  • Full-time UA sophomore, junior and senior level students
  • Students who are applying to/or participating in a study abroad or research program for any term or academic year
  • Students studying abroad in Germany or Japan

Application Requirements:
  • Copy of your unofficial transcript
  • Scholarship Questionnaire
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a UA faculty member
  • Statement of Purpose – limited to one page single spaced
    • Name of program and/or university 
    • Location - city and country in Germany or Japan
    • Dates of study
    • Why you wish to study in either Germany or Japan
    • How you plan to use this experience with regard to your academic goals and graduation

Submission Instructions:
All application materials should be submitted online through the application system.  Note: Only complete applications will be considered.

Notification of Award: 
All students will be notified via email about the outcome of the scholarship award no later than three weeks after the close of the application.
