Program Description:

Endowed Scholarship

The Edward H. Moseley Endowed scholarship is awarded to support a student who is applying or participating in a study abroad or research in Latin America, during either the interim, summer or fall session, in an attempt to broaden their education experience through immersion in non-native language and culture.

Eligibility Requirements:
This scholarship is open to:
  • Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at UA who graduated from high schools within the United States
  • Students who are applying to/or participating in a study abroad or research program in Latin America
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5

Application Requirements:
  • Resumé
  • Copy of your unofficial transcript
  • Scholarship Questionnaire
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a UA faculty member
  • Statement of Purpose – limited to one page single spaced
    • Include:  name of program and/or university
    • Location—city and country in Latin America
    • Dates of study
    • Why you wish to study in this particular country and this specific institution
    • How you plan to use this experience with regard to your academic goals

Submission Instructions:
All application materials should be submitted online through the application system.  Note: Only complete applications will be considered.

Notification of Award: 
All students will be notified via email about the outcome of the scholarship award no later than three weeks after the close of the application.
