Explore the cobblestone streets and cafes in the city center and lavender and sunflower fields just outside the city. Study at the Aix Center of Humanities and Social Sciences in Southern France’s beautiful heart of culture, art, and academics. The Aix Center was established by the Institute for American Universities which is one of the oldest and largest education abroad programs in Europe. You will be studying in one of the most popular college towns in all of France and Europe. This program is for students at all levels of French language.
You will study French grammar and conversation as well as French culture and take electives taught in French or English in any number of different subject areas including: Archaeology, Art History, Studio Art, French Language, French Literature and Civilization, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Education, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Psychology. Language level placement exams are taken at the beginning of the program. French Honors Program available to those who qualify. May combine Spring Semester with J-term traveling seminar to Morocco, Gibraltar, Spain and France. See ASA website for details.
