Program Description:

Arcadia in London

Build your resume over the summer in a supportive academic environment

On the London Internship Summer Program, you’ll engage with London as both a professional and a student. You'll intern three full days per week over the summer, with coursework designed to complement your work experience and to reinforce your professional and academic interests. There are placements available in a wide range of industries. This is a unique and affordable study abroad opportunity—if you want to network this summer, this may be a great program option.

  • Placement options include: Advertising; arts; business operations; film & television; accounting and entrepreneurship; hospitality; journalism; law; politics (including parliament); marketing; non-governmental organizations; psychology; public relations; and theater. The Internship Placement Guide outlines more placement details. Placements are arranged based on your interests, experience, and goals.

  • As part of your Cornerstone Course, Work in Thought and Action, you’ll form a set of goals to work toward while in your placement. At the conclusion of the semester, you are to give a Final Reflection and Presentation, which allows you to make discoveries about yourself through your placement experience. You will also complete a Digital Resume Portfolio, which will give you exposure to the online world of job searching through the creation of an online resume, social media profile, and cover letter for a job application.

  • In addition to your placement and the Cornerstone Course, you will enroll in one additional elective.

Excursions & Attractions

Travel to fascinating places of interest that enhance your cultural immersion and give a meaningful context to your academic courses through Arcadia's planned Excursions and Activities.
