Program Description:

Location
The City of Tuscaloosa was incorporated in 1819, one day before Alabama became a state. Home to just under 100,000 residents and located in West Alabama on the Black Warrior River, 57 miles (91.7 km) southwest of Birmingham, Tuscaloosa was the state capital of Alabama from 1826 to 1846. During this period, in 1831, the University of Alabama was established and is the state's first university. Tuscaloosa is now also home to Stillman College and Shelton State Community College.

With area attractions like the Bama Belle, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, the Kentuck Arts Center, Lake Tuscaloosa and Lake Lurleen State Park, the Historic Bama Theater, Moundville Archaeological Park, there is always something to do in Tuscaloosa. Check out Visit Tuscaloosa for more information.

Courses
Courses can be found online in two locations: the Academic Catalogs and the Schedule of Classes. The catalogs contain information regarding degree requirements as well as courses that will be offered during the year of the catalog. Courses listed in the catalog are not necessarily offered each semester. The Schedule of Classes publishes courses offered each semester.

The UA Course Catalog
The Schedule of Classes
